Recently, I came up with an idea that I find interesting. As the title says, unpack the mod-pack, or simply separate mods from the mod-pack.
I would say that it becomes harder to manage as more mods are added to the package, and that makes members have to download large files, and sometimes things have to be removed or changed, and all of that made me come up with this idea.
How would it work?
Basically the client will connect to the Vanilla Remastered server, and this server will include a list of mods, say for GTA SA since I’m talking about it. Every mod will come with it’s own release page and information (gallery, showcase, description, etc.) and it will be pretty much optional to download.
The member will open the client, and the client will retrieve the list of available mods and check for updates for existing mods installed by the player. If updates are available, player will be able to update and the player will also be able to delete mods using the client or just manually.
How would this improve VR?
Simply because sometimes people have their own mods, they have to delete stuff to have a functional game, and sometimes game can break by the mod-pack. Not to mention that it requires a fresh installation to work properly but it’s size is pretty big and it can be a problem for others to download. So, allowing the member to download a launcher/client of a small size and be able to retrieve a list of mods and install them or upgrade existing ones will be easier, and will be compatible with other mods, since skins wouldn’t interfere and so on, everyone will choose what they want, and we get satisfied members hopefully.
